Notes for Walking at Middle Head, Dec 2012- Jan 2013

Notes for Walking is an upcoming locative artwork by Megan Heyward to be staged at Middle Head Reserve and Mosman Art Gallery, Sydney. In Notes for Walking, people use their mobile phones to gather a set of video ‘notes’ as they walk, as if they are picking up the fragments of a notebook which has split apart and scattered its pages across the landscape. Working with the spectacular intersections of land, sea and sky at Middle Head, and the emerging capacities of augmented reality and location based media; Notes for Walking is an intimate exploration of an intriguing landscape.
